"My greatest joy in life, is seeing my family grow," said Peggy Calabro, "But my greatest fear is leaving this earth before I'll get to see it."
1. What have you always wanted to do but never got the chance?
I
have always wanted to go back to college and get a degree. I went for 2
years and dropped out when your grandfather got relocated to the other
side of the country. I have always regretted not going back.
2. What's your greatest achievement thus far?
My
family. They are the greatest thing I have done. Being able to see out
family grow and prosper brings me the greatest joy in life.
3. Why did you decide to become a teacher later in life?
After
my children were born and raised, I came to realize the joy I felt from
teaching young children. Your father was actually the one who said to
me "mom why don't you be a teacher, I learn more from you everyday then I
do from my teacher." i was always involved in the kids schools and
volunteered over 3 times a week regularly. So after all the kids
graduated high school I decided to try it out and became a kindergarten
teacher, and fell in love with it. It's my way of staying young and
fillin my life with joy.
4. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In
5 years I hope to be living a healthy and fulfilling life. To me,
having my family, friends, and faith surrounding me, makes my life worth
living. If I'm doing the same thing in 5 years I would be very lucky.
5. What is your greatest fear? Has it changed over time?
My
deepest fear is that I will leave this earth, before getting to see all
my grandkids get married and meet their children. I don't want to miss
any aspect of my families lives. Thats the only thing I fear, and
something I have always feared since I had children. I think I will
always worry about my family.
